Brad-
I flew from KABE to KAIY on Mother's Day (yes, of course I took my wife
with me). I've heard about them wanting to close the place down, and
after I arrived, I understood why. The place is a dump. The runways
are in poor shape - although nothing that makes landing there unsafe.
There is grass growing out of the cracks, etc.

Getting in is a little tricky the first time if you land in a westerly
direction (I forget which runway). You'll have to fly out over some of
the casinos and then back in. The buildings are so dang high, that I
had to do a little slipping to get in comfortably.

During normal business hours, there's someone usually waiting to collect
your parking fee (I think it was five bucks). They'll be more than
happy to get you a cab as well. The other option is to walk - its
probably a mile.

HTH...

A friend has convinced me that we should go down to Atlantic City for a day

Any thoughts about Atlantic City Muni (Bader Field) vs Atlantic City Int.?
