As part of a distance course I am taking, I need to analyse a "real world"
issue. Rather than taking a work-related topic, I thought I'd think about my
hobby instead.

So, my question to you is: In your opinion, is gliding / soaring gaining in
popularity?

Answers (in either English, German, Dutch, Afrikaans or French) preferably
off-list to:

Although I will welcome a simple "Yes" or "No" answer, I would prefer you to
comment in the following modes:

In your opinion, what three things most attract / repel existing and/or
prospective glider pilots?

If you were the chief of your local flying club / aviation authority /
country / WTO / UN, which "rules" (policies, guidelines, laws, whatever)
would you introduce (or remove) to improve upon the situation?
