My becker had the same problem. I shipped it off to the factory in FL, they
gave it a complete checkout, and returned it in just a few days. I put it
back in the glider and the problem persisted. I then fixed my bad boom mic
and all was well.
Troubleshoot with different microphones before you pull it and ship it off.

Our Dittell clone had the same problem. It turned out to be a bad mic.
connection to the terminals on the radio itself. Gave them a little rub
with fine sandpaper, now all is well.
