If you replace the prop with a new McCauley, all new S/Ns with letter Kxxxx
and later are AD free. But the cost of a new Sensenich or a new McCauley
for the 152 is now around $2500. I bit the bullet a few years ago (tired
of the recurring ADs)and went with a new McCauley. I saw no difference in
performance other than the balance of the new prop (better).

Hi Marty, conversation with a friend who used to own a 152 indicates that
the
Sensenich conversion wes the best thing he ever did for the airplane. He
gained several knots airspeed - he said 10 but I find that hard to
believe -
and removed the AD requirements. Of course, he was one of the first
customers, it was 10 years ago, and the price was less than $1000.
