The AIM-54 Phoenix was retired Sept. 30 2004. This info according to the
Navy News Service on Oct 10 2004.

Yeah, I guess where the Tomcat goes, so goeth the Phoenix.

I sure hope we don't come up against any major air-to-air enemies in the
