I recently got a Konica-Minolta XG. It is so small, it is not a problem to
carry everywhere. It also does movies and sound recording, like a tape
recorder. Very quick start up and zoom time, with 3X optical. I highly
advise getting one, or something like it. You will never be without a
camera again.
