Default Please help me choose a handheld VHF NAV/COM

I'm looking for a VHF Nav/Com handheld. I will primarily be using it
as a backup, with occasional use on-field, out of the plane.

My only recommendation would be to get one that has a keypad. It is a real
pain in the butt to have the radio tuned to one frequency, and want to get
to another, at the other end of the range, if all you have is a up and down
button to scroll to the new one. Also, my complaint about the Icom is that
to program it after you have not messed with it for a while, you have to
have the book, to get the procedure correct.
