No John, they are not. They do not have type certificates. What they
have are individual airworthiness certificates issued under 21.191.There
is no type certification of experimentals.

You did not understand what I was saying. I wasn't saying that homebulits
are not experimentals. I was taking issue with your INCORRECT statement
that homebuilts are "type certificated."

Homebuilts are expermemtals. Experimentals however DO NOT HAVE
TYPE CERTIFICATES.
