Default Anywhere WX users - free tool for easier e-mail, waypoint entry, etc...

Please excuse this shameless plug...

For Anywhere WX users (well actually, anyone using a PocketPC while
airborne), I've created a custom Soft Input Panel (SIP) which lets you enter
commonly used text fragments with a single tap. There are also some more
advanced features in the works, like the ability to paste in current GPS
position. You can get the source and pre-compiled binaries at:

http://open-efb.sourceforge.net

I decided to write this tool after trying to use Anywhere's Airmail
application while bumping along at 3000 feet. Needless to say, tapping out
an e-mail one character at a time wasn't very easy. Since the e-mail I
write in the air is usually repetitive (e.g. addresses, "I'm landing in 10
minutes", "I'm 20 miles away", etc), all I really needed was a set of
buttons which would type in the appropriate canned phrase. This simple hack
provides that capability.

blue skies,
