As a Safari helicopter owner and publisher of the Experimental Helo
magazine, we go to Oshkosh pretty much every year. This year we bought the
DVD and were greatly disappointed. No rotorcraft at all inspite of our
being asked to and did perform a fly-by down the main runway two days in a
row. Worse yet was the too long aerobatic coverage, with NO coverage of the
Awards and then to add insult to injury, the @#$% Jet powered truck, which I
believe has no business at an aviation event. There was coverage of the
Mooneys and the Bonanzas, but essentially no coverage of the homebuilts.
EAA used to be short for EXPERIMENTAL Aviation Association. You sure
couldn't relate that title to the DVD content. I think if the current trend
continues they need to change the name to be more consistent with the
organizational behavior and focus. Maybe something like WAF&JD: Warbirds,
Aerobatics, Ford and John Deere.

Is that EAA DVD of OSH 2005 any good?
I don't like the 30+ bucks, but what the heck. Same price + shipping as
16R.
My gal had a good thought. She said we'll get onesixright for us, but we
should get the Oshkosh DVD for friends and family (6 copies) - since I was
actually at Oshkosh and have never even been to California, let alone VNY.
OSH 2005 or 16R for my peeps? I'm leaning toward EAA's OSH 2005 DVD.
