I use Netscape, built on the same engine. No setting to skip crossposts
you've read. I'm open to suggestions for newsreaders with this (highly
desirable) feature.

Now THAT is funny.

Simple (and free) little Outlook Express does it automatically.

Microsoft got something right -- imagine that?
