Ever fly a 50 pound turbine model, like the ones seen at Florida Jets
or Top Gun? That tape looks exactly like some of the jets I've seen
landing on Palm Beach Polo grounds groomed turf.

Also remember, outside of the USA, aircraft can be much larger, as
many other countries don't subscribe to the AMA 50 (or is it 55?)
pound limit.

At some of the larger meets (Nall) they stop the AMA sanctioned meet for a
half hour at noon, and then they pull out the big stuff. They have not
violated the AMA rule, that way. There is no US or FAA law against flying a
model above 55 lbs.

It takes two guys to cary out some of those scale T-6 racers and they
appear to way well in excess of 55#
