I hear you. I was out of the seat for a few months because work was to
busy. Got out a couple weeks ago and it was GREAT! Nothing more beautiful
than full flaps, power to 1700, right on the glide slope, 65 knots and
short final on a stable approach, gets me excited just thinking about it.
Awesome. Like making love to a beautiful woman.
Flying is healthful, for those of us who crave it.
We had a fellow in the lobby yesterday who went from owning a homebuilt
ultralight *and* a classic '46 Piper Cub, flying literally every other day,
to ZERO, almost overnight. He ran into severe time and money constraints
when his company was sold from beneath his feet, and he had to sell both of
his plane for the money. He literally stopped flying, except for a
currency flight once in while, and it's about killed him.
He says he's gained 50 pounds, and you can tell he's almost in physical
pain.
