In the fishing industry, longliners use the stuff in lengths of many miles;
I've heard of 20 plus mile sets. You might check the National Fisherman
website in the "Marketplace" section for vendors.

There is no need to buy one unspliced length. You will be splicing it
anyway and the splices are easy and nearly invisible. If rems are
available, try to get them cheap. You can get the stuff in any color of

rainbow so if you can, pick a vary visible color.

strong
impression that the amounts proposed for a glider winch were 'huge' in
the
eyes of the salesman. I think the average purchase is a few hundred
feet.
So, buy big and negotiate hard.
