Default which sailplane to start again?

I received my glider rating back in the 80's but didnt do much with it
(have been flying tailwheel and floats).

Now I would like to start up again, and live in SF.

What do you recommend for a sailplane? Any good places?

And this whole motorized or self start didnt exist when I got my
rating. Are these just as much fun? Is there one you would
recommend?

thanks,

Freestone,

For refresher training, Crazy Creek, Williams, or Hollister are closest. To
see lots of different gliders, including some beautiful self-launch ships
(like my ASH26E :c), visit Minden, NV. My ASH is kept assembled/hangared, so
you can stop by anytime. For more info, contact me at
- - (remove the numbers from the address).
