Sometimes that which enables us to pursue the world of flight also demands
that we let special opportunities such as this pass us by.

When the AirZoo in Kalamazoo, MI received the SR-71 that they currently have
on display, they were required to remove the engines and several other items
for return to the Smithsonian. I was lucky enough to take one of the last
publicly offered tours of their refurbish hanger where the mechanics showed
us the engines sans-cowlings... truly amazing.
