Oh Man... Why did the camera guy leave before the Q&A session???? That
is the meat of the evening..
He apparently had somewhere he had to be, and when the videos started, he
thought the night was over.
We'll see if the video turns out. Too late I noticed that the tripod was
set up right next to a pretty noisy air return, so I hope that noise didn't
overwhelm Bill's voice.
Turns just a week ago Bill had oral surgery, and just two days before his
talk, the wound started to hemorrhage! He's on blood thinners (his family
has a long history of strokes, and he's no spring chicken), and it
apparently really let loose.
Thus, unbeknownst to us, it was a real close call as to whether Bill was
going to be able to make his appearance, and with all the soreness, he
wasn't able to project his voice real well.
So, anyway, we'll see if anything is audible on the tape! (I haven't
received it from the cameraman, yet.) I'll let you guys know when I
see/hear it.
