Default You're Invited to the 4th Annual Rec.Aviation Party(s)!

We will see you on Wed. night, but I fear on Saturday we will be at OSH
parking planes. Someone has to do it!

Joe G. from Forest Lake, MN parks planes with you. '56? '57? Cessna 172
(black and gray). He keeps his plane at ANE. He's also a member of a local
flying club. Joe is one of our chapter's Young Eagles Coordinators.

He flew his plane over to OSH this past weekend for our Chapter's
(AirVenture) work party. I drove one of the vehicles - we had eight members
go over. Rolled into town at 7:30pm Friday evening.

EAA put us up in the (nice) Volunteer's Bunkhouse, fed us three squares on
Saturday, then breakfast and lunch on Sunday. We left OSH, heading back to
the Twin Cities Sunday afternoon, after wandering around the museum for over
an hour - not enough time. Six hour drive (approx).

Grass cutting, painting, tile laying, tram refurbishing, hanging signs on
buildings (Me! Me! Me!) ...and some other tasks I don't recall, were all
needing volunteers.

The Sonex Aircraft factory tour (Sat night at 6:00pm) got canceled due to a
power outage on their side of the field. So, we hung around the bunkhouse,
instead, drinking the beer that magically restocked itself in the fridge.
Thank you EAA. :-)

Overall, we had a blast. Will sign up for the work "party" again!

Joe says "Hi Margy."
