No. How do you pronounce "DME" as a word? "NASA" is an acronym. "RADAR"
is an acronym. DME is not, although it is an abbreviation.

VOR - Very High Frequency Omni-directional Range
DME - Distance Measuring Equipment


Abbreviations, not acronyms.
