I have been searching for good quality Fuel Sight Gauges that get
mounted in the cabin through the wing root. have been unable to locate
anything so far. Does anybody have a source or lead? Thanks. Don...

Vance Atkinson Sight Gauges.. common in Cozy/Long/Vari Eze type aircraft..

OR you can use 90 degree barbed fittings arranged vertically and use
clear tubing between the two fittings in order to visualize fuel levels.

OR..

for a mechanical float style gauge as I've seen mounted in taildragger
cessnas..

There have been some recent reports of problems with the Vance gauges in
the homebuilding community that relates to the orfices "plugging" or
sealing up... which while not PROVEN to be related to alcohol in fuel,
is suspicious for such.

The guys with the Vance Atkinson gauges in their planes swear by them,
otherwise.
