I have the DC 20 10XL (the flagship model prior to the X11) and Bose
Aviation X. No question, in my opinion, the Bose is a better headset.
And at .082 AMU a month for a year it is well worth it.

Headsets are a very personal issue for pilots and some of the more
spirited threads involve opinions on them. If you could borrow a set of
Aviation X's to try out then that might be a good way to see if you like
them.

In the X11's defense they appear to be a great headset too. I do like my
20 10XL's, I just like my Bose better.

I tried a pair of Lightspeed 30-3Gs a week ago and they were very nice.
Quieter than my older DC ANR headset.
