In this case it's not spyware firewall issues, it's the port. The
download from AOPA for the eDirectory stuff uses a different port
number - if I recall, the FTP port number. That is what's being
blocked. *If* it's being blocked at your local PC then you can
certainly open it up for a few minutes without problem. But if you are
trying to run from behind a corporate firewall or some such, it is
likely to be them that are blocking it.
