Looking at buying Vertex VXA-300 Pilot III as backup comm device.

Anyone have any experience with these. Price is good (compared even with
the sporty's version of about same specs). Icom are a bit pricy. Can get
the VXA-150 for about $50 less, but the 300 looks pretty good spec-wise.
