They don't have a lot of choice where as in the US we do.
But we chose poorly.
We the consumer made the choice by demanding ridiculously
cheap goods no matter what the 'cost' was to get it.
The corporations supplying the goods complied with our
request by importing them from cheap labor elsewhere.
Now, as a consumer, I can't go into a store and find a
product I like and demand to buy the Made in USA version.
I either buy the foreign made item or I do without.
In a sense we've painted ourselves into a corner.
