Could you explain? I'm talking ifr here, and imc. Using my example,
you're at 6000 feet msl over the appalachians. How is 2500 AGL easy
to eyeball?

It's good to have sectionals available (or at least WACs) but 2500 AGL
should be pretty easy to eyeball.
