I don't like user fees either, but in the grand scheme of things a
$300 medical is not going to stop anyone from flying. Charges for FSS
weather briefing will only make pilots look for other sources for
weather. I am curious about the proposed user fee structure and the
present Canadian system. What they pay for ATC fees there is really
not all that bad. Every time I fly up there, I get an ATC bill. It is
annoying, but it is not that expensive considering other costs
involved in flying.
