Air Force Academy to make rape allegations public

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Amid fresh sexual assault claims against
their cadets, Air Force Academy commanders announced Tuesday they will
now make all allegations public and send victims to a civilian
hospital for rape exams.
"We're not going to hide anything," Superintendent Lt. Gen. John Rosa
said. He said, however, that nothing will be revealed that could
imperil an investigation.
The announcement represents a marked change from the school policy
followed for years. Until recently, there had been no consistent
policy on how to handle cadets who reported being raped. Some were
tested at an academy clinic, some at a hospital off-campus and some
not at all.
