Birds at Jeffco
JW Thanks for the compliment, Bob!
JW Camera is a new Nikon D200 and lens for the bird, MiG, and Venom is
JW an old
JW non-CPU Nikkor 300mm f4.5 ED IF. Lens for the F16 is an AF Nikkor
JW 70-210mm
JW f4-5.6. I shot bursts at 5 fps. All the images are cropped and
JW massaged in
JW Photoshop.
JW I'm still experimenting will the camera settings. There are
JW thousands of
JW combinations! This series was shot in Large (10 Mpixel) and Fine jpg
JW with in
JW camera processing set to minimal.
JW I'm disappointed by the image quality. Even after processing they
JW don't have
JW the wonderful "transparent" quality that the good photographers here
JW are
JW able to achieve.
JW Here's a shot of the deHavilland DH-112 "Venom" from the same
JW airshow.
JW Jon
The images look pretty good to me. If I could come even close to this
quality I would be ecstatic. We can't all be in the Glenn Alderton class,
you know.
Cheers,
Indrek Aavisto
