Looking at the SL30 manual, doesn't seem to be any difference
in the needle signal for the LOC versus VOR. There is a line
that comes high when you are tuned to LOC (it's variously used
to kick autopilots into APR mode or to toggle the GPS / COM
annunciator). You don't have a GPS in there do you?
