Default Iowa City Fly-In Breakfast This Sunday, 8/26

This Sunday, August 26th, will be the annual SERTOMA Fly-In Breakfast
here in Iowa City (KIOW).

This event has been held for decades, and annually draws thousands of
people to Iowa City Airport for pancakes, sausage, and aircraft, all
served in the name of a good cause. (SERTOMA stands for SERvice TO
MAnkind, a non-profit group that raises money for various good deeds.)

There will be an R/C airshow (they actually close Rwy 12/30 to hold it
-- there are some BIG R/C planes nowadays!), stuff for the kids (the
fire department brings a truck or two; the Flight for LIfe helicopter
is there, various warbirds fly-in, etc.), and, of course, TONS of
pancakes.

Best of all, after 5 straight days of rain, the weather is predicted
to be nice!

The kids and I will be there, working our hotel booth, giving free
helium balloons away to the little ones -- so stop by and say "hi!"
