Ted,
I live 32 miles south of the Medford, Jacksonville area. I run the
tow operation at Siskiyou County Airport and Craggy Aero. The
Siskiyou airport is about 45 Miles south of the Medford, Jacksonville
area. Unless you are working in Oregon and have to commute the
Northern California area is much more reasonable as far as cost of
living.
Give me a call and I will tell you about the area or if you travel to
the area I will show you around.

Team Tuno is entertaining the possibility of a relocation to Southern

living in the area who can post their .02 worth I'd appreciate it.
I believe the closest places to get tows are Bend and Montague, CA. Am
I missing anything closer?

I have a rental home in Ashland that I will finally be retiring to in
3 years. I really love Ashland and the Jacksville area since I first
visited there in the mid-1980's. Great year-round weather. Ashland is
close to skiing at Mt Ashland or a bit further to Mt Batchelor and 3
hours to the spectacular Oregon Coast area of Gold Beach. A 4 year
college and the Shakespeare theaters are just 5 blocks away from my
place. Several wineries in Ashland and in the Applegate Valley plus a
number of lakes for boating and fishing within a 30 minute drive for
non-flying enjoyment. About a 5-6 hour drive to Lake Tahoe,
Sacramento, Napa Valley, the SF Bay Area and Portland for those
gettaway trips. It's a 45 minute drive or 10 minute flight from in my
RV-8A from Ashland to Siskiyou County where I will be base my glider.
Housing prices are relatively steep in Jacksonville and Ashland (not
compared to those in NorCal) but still very reasonable in the East
Medford Hills. Looking forward to being back on the west coast!
