What are the differences between the Seafire and Spitfire?


The initial versions were little more than quickly modified Spitfire Mk
VB’s with arrestor hooks. Later versions gained reinforced landing gear and
fuselages, wing folding (although this was absent in the Mk 45 and 46) and
eventually Griffon engines and contra-rotating props (as did later Mark
Spitfires).
