Sam Adams should make an F-14 beer or somethin'.

At Tailhook earlier this month, one of the "industry" booths was occupied by Bella Luna Winery (Templeton, CA, http://www.bellalunawine.com/). Their feature vintage was a concoction they had named "Fighter Pilot Red." The label featured the DFC and the words, "This wine is named in honor of those courageous aviators who have put themselves in harm's way - You truly have a flavor for life the protected will never know. Enjoy!"

Sampled some. While I liked the sentiment, the wine was very mediocre.

I can get better-tasting red by buying "Two Buck Chuck" (Charles Shaw) Merlot at Trader Joe's.
