In french we have a word : "Uchronie" (utopia, chronos):
"What would have been able to arrive"
"To happen" ou "to occur" plutôt que "to arrive." Ce dernier est un faux ami.
Plus idiomatique: "What might have happened." ou "How things could have turned
out."
