That's the point: the mechanic works his tail off most of the
time while the pilot stands around, taking it easy and drinking
coffee.


And whining about , well, everything. Don't forget that.


And then the pilot abuses the airplane, making more
unnecessary work for the mechanic.



Look on yoursefl as "Job security" for the mechanic. You're an economic
lynchpin in Aviation.


But the pilot often gets to stay away from home a lot, while
the mechanic goes home every night.


Eiter way can be a plus, depending..
