Default The 11th NARROMINE CUP WINNER

The 11th NARROMINE CUP WINNER was TERRY BELLAIR. He beat the rest of the
field by launching early and finishing late, having covered 500 or more Km
every flying day.

The NARROMINE CARAVAN PARK Trophy for the best NCW junior was awarded to BEN
LOXTON. Ben is a junior who has yet to crack a title in serious gliding,
but one who shows the potential to challenge the best juniors in the world.
Narromine has again added to Australia's future world champion stock.

The PEPPERCORN MOTEL Trophy for the most deserving cross country pilot was
awarded to Dr ED MAREL. Ed has been a competitive soaring pilot since first
learning the skills of cross country flying at Narromine. This was Ed's
first win. He demonstrated consistent improvement since first coming to
Narromine and now owns a high performance single-seat sailplane.

The NARROMINE ROOSTER SHIELD for a pilot who successfully moved between
'Rooster and Feather Duster' was awarded to Geoff Vincent, from Victoria.
Geoff discovered one of Narromine's great gliding benefits on the first NCW
day by outlanding in a paddock. Thanks to the hospitality of his surprised
host, Geoff was able to arrange a 'rescue' by a Narromine launch Cessna and
return to the Narromine airfield in time for dinner.
