landing do these planes come to a certain distance from where they
heads towards runway.how they manage this air traffic.


You can turn immediatly if you want, but usually there is a departure route
to ensure a smooth flow of traffic around the airport and also for noise
abatement purposes.
They are usually routed over industrial and/or low income areas.
