Hey Mary. I built a Rogallo "Bat Glider" of bamboo and black plastic (with a
lot of strapping tape) in about '68. Ran off a hill side and smashed into a
tree :-)

I still have a picture of the "debris field" somewhere. There was a reporter
near by who took a shot and ran a piece in the paper about "Man with Wings".
What a hoot. Does this make me a hang gliding pioneer or do I need controlled
flight? Actually it was controlled in the sense it controlled me by simply
turning left no matter what!
