Default The Pilgrimage called "Oshkosh"

Great video; got the link earlier thru an EAA email.

This year is special for me. A few weeks ago, my wife attended a Sonex
workshop in OSH with me. Fortunately, they turned the heat up to 28 while we
were there, which, for my Texas bride, was tolerable. (It was in the
negatives the weeks before and after.)

Anyway, while I was working some metal, she got to talking to some of the
other airplane widows (11 showed up), and asked if they had ever attended
AirVenture with their spouses/sigothers. Just about all of them said that
they did. They even discussed how to handle those periods when they had had
enough (!) airplane stuff for awhile. So, she walks up to me, and out of
the blue says, "Can I come with you this year?"

This ranks right up there with the time she asked, "Why don't we sell the
house and build one of those hangars with a house inside?"

So, once the video came out, we sat and watched it together. She's not as
passionate about the whole deal (in that she's not counting down the hours,
Jay), but she figures she might as well get involved. She'll love it. What a
keeper.

For those who have never been there, and for those who long to return:

Mary and I just watched this movie, curled up under blankets -- and they
really captured the spirit of the show. The snow may be high, and the
temperature may be bitter -- but we know that our spot in the North 40
awaits...

This will be our 26th year in a row, God willin' and the crik don't rise.
5 months & 2 weeks to go...
