FWIW - One magazine's top ten harrowing airports
I don't know why they included Sint Maarten and Saba.
Princess Juliana has a runway plenty long enough even for the heavies to
land on. It's just that they can't take off with fuel tanks full.
It only looks slightly scary for the people on Maho beach, but they go there
for the kicks anyway.
Only Twin Otters can land on Saba (Winair does that) and they have at least
25 m to spare on landing and on take off. No problem there, especially since
the pilots don't have to worry about obstacles during approach and take off.
I wonder why they sell T-shirts saying "I survived the Saba landing". I did.
