Default The demise of Thielert

Aviation diesels have been "on the horizon" for decades. I think Zoche
has been claiming imminent certification since the early '90s. It was
around that time that I first became interested in aviation and I've
been following the progress of aero-diesels ever since.

Thielert was, to me, the first "success story" of the new aero-diesel
industry. SMA and, to a lesser extent, DeltaHawk are hopefully not far
behind with regards to OEM installations in production aircraft. But
Thielert is out there right now in Diamond DA-42s and Cessna 172s.

And now this:

A crying shame.
