BTW, lights do light up when you put "the gear down", gadget is
hardwired to the ships power.
So since it is there do you slap it down on landing and up on take off.
To not do so would seem to beg to create some real bad habits.
My Beech Musketeer had this, to. My instructor explained it to me
as: "This is a trainer for your Bonanza, so that you remember to put
the gear down"!
