There used to be this shop on the corner across from my school
where this old fat guy with thick glasses and suspenders sold us
pumpkin seeds and penny candies, and single cigarettes when we got
older ( around 9) . I think his name was "Mo".
Now, I gave you an opening for a gay lame as a gift there. Cuz i'm
a givning sort of Bunyip.

Since when has relevance meant anything to a homophobe? If Max is
one, Bertie gave him all the opening he needs. If not, then no
opening he could possibly come up with would ever be good enough.
Oh, and BTW, this thread is about my childhood, so let's try and stay

I remember I used to walk through puddles with my
galloshes/gumshoes/wellies on ( this is an international forum, after
all) and see if I could find one that came nearly up to the edge of
my boots without spilling anything in...

...Don't try it now, though. Especially in a city. It's an outdoor
activity and it causes quite a commotion; ten or more years ago if
anyone saw you they'd just roll their eyes but these days, with
everyone constantly worrying about "terrorists" and with police
departments funded up the wazoo and armed like ****in military units,
you'd probably get arrested and tortured.
Snort. There's some here that would love to set me up for it i'd reckon.
