Look to Wings and Wheels. If it is a linear scale, normal response
rate vario, it need a .45 liter flask. If it is logarithmic or fast
response, it will take a .90 liter or 1.8 liter flask. The model
number and the look of the face of the instrument will tell you what
you have got. It may also have the flask size requirement printed on
the back of the vario.
My guess is you have a standard repsonse rate, linear vario. .45
liter flask. If you use a flask that is too small, the vario will
show less vertical than what you are doing. If you use too large a
flask, it will say you are doing more than you really are. So, yes.
Flask size does matter! :-)
