It came out about the same time as all of the companies were working on a
new stealth aircraft, what became the F-22. So, it couldn't offer anything
that wasn't already available. We had the F-15E, and the XL wasn't stealthy
enough as a new fighter. Now, if it came out 10 years earlier...
