If you have a good display it is no different then scanning an other
instrument. Besides any work in preparation for a flight should be done on
the ground. Hence a good display is just an other Instrument.

Exactly. And a moving map display and computer is less work than
futzing with a paper chart, etc. The longest time my head is inside
the cockpit is when messing with a hard to read PDA. I don't see how
WinPilot or SeeYou on this can be any worse than dealing with the same
software on a PDA, and I expect it to be quite better becauae of the
dramatically improved visibility.
