One of the truly innovative aircraft of the Cold War era, but not
one that could make the cut into production. I had the pleasure of
seeing the one that is at the USAF Museum at Wright-Pat over 20
years ago, I think 1985 or 1986. It was parked outside the main
museum building and looked pretty forlorn. I would really have
loved to get inside it but there was no stairway to even look in.
In fact, as I recall, the windows were either no longer transpaper
or somehow painted out, can't remember which.
Anyway, thanks for posting these, Mitch. I will eagerly add them to
my aerospace picture collection.
