Folks,

I know I should post this to the SeeYou forums, but I'm having

issues
resetting my password.

I'm looking for a SeeYou DLL in the prescribed IGC format for
validating the SeeYou G-Record. =A0I already have the stand alone

DOS
application from SeeYou; that's not what I need. =A0 I want the DLL

tha=
t
can be launched from the Mark Ramsey validation shell application on
the IGC website.

Eric - The validation DLL is logger-specific and supplied by the
logger
manufacturer. So, check the IGC web site or your logger-vendor's
site ?

Should have clarified further. * SeeYou supports downloading from non-
IGC-Approved loggers, specifically Garmin. * *In so doing, it creates
its own proprietary Security Record (G-Record). * *I want to see if
there is a DLL which would validate files downloaded under this
scenario.

Cheers,
P3

The security record (G-record) is generated in the Recorder for
IGC-approved recorders.

Garmin does not create a G-record, so there is nothing to validate, so
there is no purpose in a Validation DLL.

No Tim. SeeYou (and G72Win) have their own proprietary hashing
algorithms which generate a G Record at the time of download. The
process for creating the G Records is NOT compliant with the IGC
private key encription methodology; however, they do prevent "casual"
modification of a file downloaded by either program.

So, again, back to the question, is anyone aware of a SeeYou Vali DLL?
