Wet and dry sandpaper
I've been using "Klingspor" self adhesive wet or dry 2 3/4" wide rolls
made in Germany. I've no idea if this is the best available, but it
seems to work great on my sanding boards. I got it from a US auto
body supply company for a lot less than $27 a roll.
BTW, I'm also getting really good results from 3M 8"x10" polishing
papers that go from about 2,000 grit to well over 8,000 grit. They
are way too fine to make any change in the airfoil shape but they
really can bring up a shine.

A friend showed me some wet and dry sandpaper rolls *which has
adhesive on the back. It comes in 25 meter rolls and they will cut it
to any width you want. You simply cut the length to fit your sanding
block and peel off the plastic covering and then it sticks to your
sanding block.
Its very good quality and a 25 meter roll is around 27 bucks. I
ordered rolls of 800,1200 and 2000 grid and asked for a width of 2 3/4
inch. No problem and it showed up in about 5 days after I placed the
order.
