The gun on the JSF will be a 4-barreled version of the GAU-12/U
called the GAU-22/A. *In it's podded form, it will be carried on a
dedicated centerline pylon between the aft portion of the weapons
bays.
I wonder what effect that will have on the aircraft's ability to drop
weapons from the bays?
